Discovering Print – Term 2
7 weeks Friday mornings 9.30am -12.30pm starting 9th February, no half term, finishing 23rd March
Includes Introduction to Monotype, Multiple colour Relief Printmaking with Reduction Lino, and Mountboard Cuts
Introduction to Monotypes looks at the transfer, subtractive and painterly methods of creating unique prints, with layering with the use of masks.
Investigate the cornerstones of Multiple colour Relief printmaking with Reduction block Lino. Reduction Lino from planning to final layer to produce multi coloured prints from a single block
Mountboard Cuts – A sensitive relief printmaking technique that uses mountboard as a block, giving beautiful and delicate prints. Easily reproduced at home.

10 weeks Friday mornings 9.30am – 12.30pm starting 20th April, half term 1 June, finishing 29th June.
Further Monoprinting, Multiple block Relief Printmaking with Keyblock Lino, and Woodcuts
Further Monotypes uses textured surfaces and found objects, looking at ghost and shadow printing, counter proofs, hybrid printmaking with drypoint and layering to create unique prints.
Key block Lino enables you make multiple blocks and experiment with as many different colour ways as you want.
Woodcut a process that harnesses the natural beauty of the side grain of Soft wood to produce Relief Prints.
